The dramatic Halong Bay in Northeast Vietnam is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Most of the activities here takes place during the daylight hours, but at night when the darkness envelopes the bay, squid fishing is a fun thing to try. The quid are attracted to light and come up from the sea bed attracted by bright lights. During the high season large shoals of squid will surround the tour boats and it is not uncommon for tourists to pull thirty squid each from the sea in just a couple of hours.
Sitting on board your tour boat, with a beer in hand, fishing for squid is a great way to relax. The bay looks great at night.
